2. File & Layer Support Added
  • Vector Graphics Web services – currently 2 Geocache services are available. Simply select the layers and geocache locations will automatically show up on your base map (Apple Map or your own). Save the currently displayed set of geocaches to KML or GPX for offline use.

3. File Management
  • Major enhancements to File Management. Selecting Layers and Managing your files are now on the same screen where you can easily switch between the two.
  • You can also now drill down through folders, either selecting a complete folder or individual files within folders.
  • Air Drop and Document support. You can now Air Drop or ‘open’ files from other apps directly into GeoView Pro. They will be put in the new ‘Inbox’ folder found on the Select/Manage screen.
  • iCloud support. Created files can be uploaded to iCloud automatically or on demand.
  • Improved Dropbox support. Better syncing and created files can now be uploaded automatically.
  • Added ability to import a file via a URL link.

4. Other Enhancements
  • If elevation data is available (eg using .dem files in the gridded data layers) the elevation data will be added to your route and tool drawing activities.
  • Vector files without any colour information (eg. Esri shape files .shp) can now have a default colour set to tell the layers apart.
  • Vector files can also have all their graphics default to a single supplied colour to help with layer visualization.

1. New Functionality
  • Apple map is now fully integrated with all layer types.   If you don't have your own maps you can still overlay image and vector files on top of apple map.
  • Vector file coordinates are now re-projected to the display  SRS .  Virtually any vector file can be overlayed on your map regardless of it's model type.

  • Current heading is now displayed when GPS is active.
